LARDIS supports us in our operations with its simple and user-friendly interface. The short-term storage of radio calls is particularly advantageous for larger operations and is used frequently.
Since we have installed LARDIS:ONE in our vehicles, we have also been happy to use the navigation function, and messages from the control center that are relevant to the operation can be displayed, too.
LARDIS was introduced as part of the switch to digital radio and the replacement of the command vehicle ELW 1.
We have placed great importance on a consistent and simple user interface across all radio workstations and vehicles. This means that we are independent of radio device type and can flexibly operate the old analog radio in 4m as well as 2m and digital radio including digital incident site radio simultaneously. This gives us a very good basis for easily maintaining communication with the command vehicle in the event of an emergency, even across regions. Thanks to the almost self-explanatory, user-friendly interface, operation is possible after a short briefing. The installation of the LARDIS:ONE and PILOT devices in the vehicles enables reliable navigation, which is particularly advantageous for us in the case of inter-regional operations. This option eliminates the need for another navigation device in the vehicle and keeps the cockpit clear.
